Due to the winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service, all after school and evening activities in District 833 have been canceled for today, Thursday, Feb. 20.

Projections of residential development in Cottage Grove and Woodbury are expected to result in increases in district enrollment and require that the district examine whether its existing facilities are adequate to meet projected enrollment over the next ten years.

Three hundred and forty-eight high school students in South Washington County Schools earned 2013 AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP (Advanced Placement) exams.

There will be no school for District 833 students on Monday, Feb. 17 due to the President’s Day holiday.

The School Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, with the following items on the agenda:

On Saturday, March 1, Woodbury High School will host the annual Saturday Conversations with Minnesota Colleges from 9-11 a.m.

District 833's fifth annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Career Day for all high school students in the district is scheduled for March 20 at the University of Minnesota.

These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,000 National Merit Scholarships worth about $35 million that will be announced this spring.

Each school in South Washington County Schools operates an “Angel Fund” that allows students to purchase a complete school lunch when their account balance runs out.
