Over fifty students from East Ridge High School’s Project Lead the Way biomedical sciences program recently visited Gillette Children’s Hospital as pat of their Medical Interventions class.

There will be no school for District 833 students on Friday, March 7, for a Teacher Workshop Day. There is also no school the week of March 10-14 for Spring Break.

The School Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, with the following items on the agenda:

Included on the March 6 District 833 School Board agenda is a continuing conversation about changes being proposed to support the increasing budget issues within the transportation department.

The challenging winter has caused District 833, along with schools across the state, to be closed for as many as six days.

Through an organization called Students Today, Leaders Forever, over 60 East Ridge High School students participated in a community service trip Feb. 13-17.

The Silent Night Deaf Event is an annual event held by District 833's American Sign Language (ASL) program.

East Ridge and Park High School Thespians participated in the Minnesota State Thespian Conference at Chanhassen High School and the Guthrie Theater Feb. 16-17.

With 22 teams in attendance and over 400 competitors, Park High School Speech team won first place in the Princeton Invitational on Feb. 22 for the second consecutive year.
