East Ridge High School senior Eaman Shire has won a $2,500 National Achievement Scholarship from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

The School Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, with the following items on the agenda:

Park’s Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for the tenth class to be inducted into the Park High School Hall of Fame.

The month of April begins a period of state testing across Minnesota and in the South Washington County Schools.

The South Washington County Schools’ orchestra program passes a milestone this year, as the first students that pioneered the orchestra program in the fall of 2006 are now graduating seniors.

District 833 Superintendent Keith Jacobus is hosting a conversation regarding adolescent brain development. Parents may attend any session that fits their schedule.

On March 29 and 30, East Ridge High School students Dom Campion and Joey Sicoli represented their school and the Woodbury Blazing Stars Special Olympics Team at the State Special Olympics swimming competition.

Dawn Sicard, sixth and seventh grade Language Arts teacher at Oltman Middle School, received a Youth Service/Leadership grant for $500 this fall.

Congratulations to the Future Problem Solving Teams from Woodbury Middle School that competed at the State Competition in Lino Lakes last Saturday.

Students from District 833 middle schools found success at the State Academic Triathlon competition.
