Minnesota Wild’s Christian Folin visits Red Rock Elementary during “Faceoff for Fitness” program

Minnesota Wild Player Christian Folin, Nordy – the team mascot, and other Wild staff members visited Red Rock Elementary as part of the hockey team’s Face Off for Fitness School Assembly Program on Wed., Feb. 15.

The Minnesota Wild designed the school assembly program to help stress the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle and to teach students about the great sport of hockey.

Red Rock’s entire school participated in the assembly, where each student received a pack of Wild hockey cards, received health and nutrition advice and had the chance to ask questions.

At the end of the assembly, two students had the opportunity to go head-to-head with Nordy, who played goalie, in front of their peers.

Additionally, a free set of street hockey equipment was given to the school courtesy of the NHL and the Minnesota Wild Foundation.
