District 833 announces April Climate and Culture Ambassadors

South Washington County Schools is excited to congratulate the Climate and Culture Ambassadors for the month of April, selected by the District's Climate and Culture Committee. Each month, the selected Ambassadors are recognized and awarded a certificate at a School Board meeting during the District Highlights portion of the meeting. 

Congratulations to the following Climate and Culture Ambassadors for the month of April:

Laurie Mueller is a Reading Recovery teacher at both Red Rock and Cottage Grove elementary schools. She is described as a thoughtful and creative teacher and colleague, and makes it a point to connect with students and staff every day. She continuously researches ways to improve her teaching and encourages her colleagues to do the same. She volunteers for after-school programs, tutors students in the summer and is an incredible asset to South Washington County.

Harryet (or Hank) Freeman is a Social Studies teacher at Woodbury High School. She is said to have had a huge influence on the positive culture and climate of WHS staff. She has a great sense of humor and is someone who brightens the room whenever she walks in. She is a mentor and a friend to all, and is said to be the first person staff go to when a difficult situation arises. Hank puts building relationships with her students first, and has been part of Woodbury High School’s "Be the Dream" team for years. She is a role model for many in South Washington County!

Teresa Crawford is a Student Systems Support Specialist at the District Service Center. She is said to advocate for her co-workers in a spirit of service and support. She is a role model for positive and collaborative relationships and is always open to new ideas. She is resourceful, seeks new strategies and has a fantastic sense of humor. Teresa works hard to make District 833 stronger and works long hours when no one is watching. Thanks for all you do, Teresa!
