Celebration of African/African American Culture

South Washington County Schools invites all parents, students and staff to the district's second "Celebration of African/African American Culture" event, set for Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at East Ridge High School. As part of the event, attendees will enjoy wonderful performances by District 833 students. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample ethnic food, enjoy student artwork and mingle with other families in our school community.

Dr. Keith Mayes, professor of African American & African Studies at the U of M – Twin Cities, will serve as the keynote speaker for the evening. His talk will focus on the importance of education and black history. We hope to see you there!
