The School Board met on Thursday, Sept. 3, with the following items on the agenda:

During the Sept. 3 School Board regular meeting, Chair Ron Kath shared a summary of the recently discussed evaluation for Superintendent Keith Jacobus.

Learning didn’t stop this summer for many students and staff in District 833.

South Washington County Schools received more than 200 backpacks full of school supplies for District 833 students from volunteers at King of Kings Church in Woodbury the week of Aug. 24.

As staff at Park and Woodbury high schools finalize preparations for the 2015-16 school year, the had the opportunity to view Catalyst, a special presentation by the Education Trust Theater.

New assistant principals for the 2015-16 school year include: Kristine McDonald (Crestview Elementary and Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion), Anthony Mosser (Lake Middle School), Darren Nelson (Oltman Middle School), and Elicia Buzinec (Woodbury High School).

Wendy Tracy, previously the department’s assistant director, will be the next director of Nutrition Services for South Washington County Schools.

The 2015 graduates of Park High School’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Program had a diploma pass rate of 81%, surpassing the world average of 79%.

The Community Education department of South Washington County Schools is pleased to announce its newly formed ACCESS (Adult, College, Career, English Language, Skills, and Services) program for adults.
