The release of the 2016 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) results indicate that overall, District 833 students continue to demonstrate a high level of proficiency, meeting or exceeding grade level expectations in reading, mathematics, and science, and performing above statewide proficiency rates.
District 833’s negotiating team is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement for the 2015-17 contract was reached with the United Teachers of South Washington County (UTSWC) on Monday, July 25, during a previously scheduled mediation.
The Minnesota School Immunization Law requires that all students are current with certain immunizations before starting school unless there is a medical or conscientious exemption on file for that student.
Our remaining contract to close for 2015-16 is with our teachers, and we’d like to ensure our community is apprised on the status of these negotiations. We highly value and support our teachers, and are pleased that ongoing efforts to achieve efficiencies in our budget, combined with the referendum success, we are able to offer our teachers an unprecedented increase of 8.2% over two years, and realize a balanced budget.
