Students in AVID classes at Lake Middle School recently made hospital care packages, tie blankets and drawstring bags that they donated to the Minneapolis Ronald McDonald House.

Eighteen seniors from East Ridge High School recently attended Junior Achievement’s Job Shadow event as part of their business internship program.

Students in South Washington County Schools participated in Bike to School Day on May 4.

The District 833 Middle School Art Show opening will take place on May 6 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the District Service Center.

Park High School is hosting a “Walk 4 Water” 5K and family event as part of their “Water 4 India” campaign in which student leaders hope to raise $5,000 to fund a clean water system for a struggling village in India.

Kindergarten students at Bailey Elementary School are learning important literacy skills as part of the school’s annual Q and U unit.

District 833 is pleased to announce that Virginia (Ginger) Garski has been selected as the next principal of Park High School beginning July 1, pending approval by the School Board.

The fourth Annual Standing Strong 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, May 21, at Hamlet Park (8883 Hamlet Ave. S., Cottage Grove).

The Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals has presented a 2015-16 Silver Star of Innovation Award to Park High School for its Wolfpack Hour program.
